The report updated the position on recent consultation papers and Government responses to comments made by stakeholders following the Killian Pretty review of Development Control. Particular attention was drawn to publicity for planning applications and three further outstanding procedural consultations.
Following consideration by the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Planning and Transportation resolved that:
1) the comments set out in paragraphs 1.2.4 (publicity for planning applications), 1.2.6 and 1.2.7 (improving the use of planning conditions) of the report be communicated to the Government; and
2) the letter be copied to the Planning Shadow spokesmen of the Conservative and Liberal Democrat parties.
Reasons: As set out in the report submitted to the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board of 23 February 2010.
